Cyto-Coat Fixative Spray is a ready-to-use alcohol-based coating fixative designed for rapid fixation and protection of freshly prepared cytological smears. This spray fixative combines an alcohol-based fixation system with a film-forming component to rapidly fix cells and create a thin, removable protective coating over the smear.

- Before staining, the coating should be adequately removed using the appropriate alcohol-processing step specified for the formulation, because residual coating material can interfere with staining.
