Modified Field Stain Kit is a rapid two-solution staining system designed for the detection and morphological evaluation of malaria parasites in peripheral blood smears.
The two-reagent staining system provides rapid differentiation of cellular and parasitic components, producing suitable contrast between erythrocytes, leukocytes and malaria parasite forms for microscopic examination.

Modified Field Stain uses two complementary staining solutions based on Romanowsky-type staining principles.
The staining reagents interact with cellular and parasitic structures to produce differential coloration. Malaria parasites take up the stain distinctly against the surrounding blood-cell background, allowing their characteristic morphological features to be examined microscopically.
On a properly prepared blood film, the staining procedure provides contrast between the parasite, erythrocytes and leukocytes, supporting microscopic detection and morphological assessment.
